Police said the incident occurred shortly before 6 p.m. Friday on the northbound platform. The victim had noticed another woman nearby before the woman approached and stabbed her in the arm, News 12 reported. Paramedics took the victim to Lincoln Hospital.
Earlier Stabbings at Bedford Park Boulevard
Separate reports have described earlier violence at the Bedford Park Boulevard station. A man was stabbed there on Election Night, Nov. 4, and was later reported to be in critical condition. Another man, 40, was stabbed at the station on Dec. 10. In June, a 34-year-old man was slashed in the forehead and taken to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition, according to Norwood News.
Norwood News reported that police had made no arrest and had released no suspect description in the June case. Those prior reports do not establish that any of the Bedford Park incidents was connected to the Intervale Avenue stabbing, whose suspect also has not been identified or apprehended.
