A woman is dead after a reported stabbing along Hensley Creek Road north of Ukiah, in Mendocino County. The Mendocino County Sheriff's Office is investigating, and one person was detained at the scene while deputies worked to secure the area as a crime scene.
A call came in at about 3:16 p.m. Tuesday, according to Redheaded Blackbelt. The caller said her father had stabbed her mother and asked for medical help. Dispatchers relayed that the father might have had a knife in him and was bleeding; early information did not establish who had attacked whom. Fire and ambulance crews staged nearby while deputies approached, with incoming units asked to meet the caller at the road entrance.
