The Florida Highway Patrol received a report around 7:48 a.m. Saturday that a body had washed ashore along the northbound lanes of Interstate 275 near the bridge span, according to Tampa Bay 28. Deputies and detectives responded to the scene on the Manatee County side of the highway, and the sheriff’s office is now investigating the recovery of the remains near the bridge, per the same outlet.
