More than 200 small businesses will set up shop inside Sheds 3, 4 and 5 at Detroit's Eastern Market next month for the All Things Detroit: Holiday Experience, a daylong shopping event packed with food trucks, local DJs and photo opportunities with Santa. The 2026 edition carries the theme “PJs and Presents” and will fill the historic market at 2934 Russell St. with handmade quilts, ornaments, home décor, baskets, stocking tags, photo frames and other Detroit-themed gifts, according to Metro Detroit News.

Shoppers will also be able to pick up cocktail infusion kits, cookies, cakes and holiday dessert boxes, per the same report. The event will showcase many women-owned and Black-owned businesses among its vendor lineup, and it's curated by Jennyfer Crawford-Williams, who founded All Things Detroit: Holiday Experience, according to Visit Detroit. The event is independently produced by Ask Jennyfer, a Detroit-based firm that specializes in branding and promoting small businesses, Visit Detroit notes.

Early Access, Ticket Prices and a Scheduling Conflict

Ticketing details vary depending on the source, so shoppers should double-check before heading out. Metro Detroit News reports that Beat the Crowd ticketholders can begin shopping at 10 a.m. and that general admission begins at noon for $7, with Eastern Market closing at 5 p.m. and children 6 and younger entering free. However, a listing on events.allthingsticketing.com states that doors open at 9:30 a.m. for Beat the Crowd ticket holders and that general admission opens at 11 a.m. for $5, with kids 6 and under also free.

The ticketing platform also lists Beat the Crowd tickets at $15, matching the price in the Metro Detroit News report. But the two sources disagree on exactly how much early shopping time that ticket buys: the ticketing site's event page describes it as either two hours of private shopping or one hour before the doors open to the public, depending on which part of the listing is referenced, while Metro Detroit News describes it as two hours of early shopping that includes a tote bag. Early shoppers are also promised a Holiday Doorbusters Guide listing limited-edition gifts and products available before noon, per Metro Detroit News.

General admission tickets will be sold at the door, while Beat the Crowd tickets are available online now through the ticketing platform. Separately, the early-access ticket listing on events.allthingsticketing.com describes perks including a complimentary All Things Detroit tote bag and a surprise holiday gift while supplies last.

Mural Unveiling and Entry Rules at the Market

Beyond the shopping, the event will include the unveiling of an All Things Detroit mural by Phil Fresh Simpson and a gift-wrapping booth sponsored by Paisley Paper Co., according to the event listing. Attendees should also plan their arrival carefully: per Eastern Market, all guests on the same ticket must arrive together, Will Call is not available, and entry is limited to Shed 3 or Shed 5.

A partnership tied to the event will also give 25 Detroit Elevate businesses a participating space, a collaboration involving the Gilbert Family Foundation and Ask Jennyfer, Visit Detroit reports. The holiday event is scheduled to return this November at the historic market, according to Ask Jennyfer, continuing a series that organizers and local outlets describe as a major draw for shoppers. Eastern Market's own organizer page says an April All Things Detroit Day drew over 15,000 shoppers, while Visit Detroit separately states that more than 14,000 people attend the holiday shopping event — figures that reflect past or broadly described turnout rather than a confirmed count for this year's installment.
