Downtown Tampa is gearing up for a Halloween night rap showcase as Nightmare on Channelside hits Benchmark International Arena on Saturday, Oct. 31, with doors opening at 6 p.m. and the show starting at 7 p.m. 21 Savage headlines the bill, joined by Kodak Black, Meek Mill, Kevin Gates and local favorite Tom G, who's billed as a support act and described as Tampa's OG Jook God.
A Lineup That's Shifted Since the First Announcement
According to Creative Loafing Tampa, 21 Savage appeared on initial announcements for the concert but is no longer featured on recent promotional material for the event. The show was booked by an independent promoter who also booked Benchmark International Arena for the night, the outlet reports. Tickets for Nightmare on Channelside, which the Creative Loafing Tampa report says start at $71.05, are being sold for a bill featuring Kodak Black, Meek Mill, DaBaby and others.
Official event materials tell a slightly different story about who's actually headlining. A release from Benchmark International Arena states that 21 Savage will headline the Nightmare on Channelside Halloween concert on Saturday, Oct. 31, at 7 p.m., with Kodak Black, Meek Mill and DaBaby joining him. That release also notes the show is presented by Tampa 813 Events and The Mark Oliver Show, and that additional local and emerging performers will be announced leading into the event.
Where and When to Catch the Show
The event's own website lists an even broader bill, naming Kevin Gates, Kodak Black, Meek Mill, DaBaby, Bossman Dlow and Boston Richey among the performers. The site, noctampa.com, confirms the Saturday, Oct. 31 date with doors at 6 p.m. and the show at 7 p.m., and lists the venue address as 401 Channelside Drive in Tampa. The event is open to all ages, though the site notes every attendee needs a ticket regardless of age.
The venue's release said general ticket sales would go on sale Friday, Aug. 28, at 10 a.m. With the holiday falling on a Saturday this year, the downtown arena is positioning the show as one of Tampa Bay's bigger Halloween night draws, pairing national headliners with hometown acts like Tom G rounding out the support slots.
