A 72-year-old Jasper man turned himself in to the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office jail after investigators obtained warrants alleging sexual offenses involving a child. Milton Paul Beatty now faces two second-degree felony charges stemming from a case that authorities say began with a child’s repeated outcries months earlier.
According to kfdm.com, the case traces back to July 25, 2026, when Jasper County Sheriff’s Office deputies first spoke with a complainant about allegations of inappropriate behavior by an adult toward a child. Per the sheriff’s office, the child made several outcries alleging inappropriate sexual conduct by the suspect, which prompted deputies to escalate the matter for further investigation.
Investigation Led to Probable Cause
JCSO Investigator Noel then took over and began an investigation that included numerous interviews, the station's report notes. That work ultimately established probable cause, per the sheriff’s office, leading authorities to issue warrants for Beatty.
Beatty, identified as a 72-year-old Jasper man, was charged with indecency with a child by sexual contact, a second-degree felony, and solicitation of prostitution of a person under 18 years of age, also a second-degree felony. As reported by East Texas Banner, Beatty turned himself in to the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office jail.
Sheriff Reaffirms Commitment to Public Safety
Sheriff Chuck Havard and his staff remain committed to combating criminal activity throughout Jasper County, the sheriff’s office said in connection with the case, per the same account from the station. The investigation and resulting charges reflect that broader stated priority amid a case centered on protecting a child.
The allegations against Beatty have not been proven in court, and he is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. No further details on bond, booking, or a court date were available at this time.
