A 25-year-old Texas man is facing federal charges after investigators say he sexually exploited minors online, including a 12-year-old and 13-year-old connected to the Omaha metro, as part of a scheme that reached more than 50 children across the country. Jaden Blake, of Abilene, was identified as the suspect following a monthslong investigation that began with a tip to local authorities.

The case started when the Douglas County Sheriff's Office received a report that a 12-year-old may have sent sexually explicit videos to an unknown person, according to WOWT. A Douglas County Sheriff's Office investigator assigned as a task force officer with the FBI Omaha Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force worked the case alongside an FBI agent assigned to the same unit, and investigators ultimately identified Blake as the person sexually exploiting a minor online.

As the investigation progressed, authorities found an additional 13-year-old victim being exploited by Blake. Two of the victims live in Douglas County, Nebraska, while a third was identified in Bellevue. Investigators said a database maintained by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children helped them connect the dots across jurisdictions.

Search Warrant Executed at Texas Home

On March 25, 2026, members of the Omaha FBI Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force, with assistance from FBI Dallas, executed a search warrant at Blake's home in Abilene. The search of the residence yielded multiple electronic devices, and investigators determined that Blake was sexually exploiting more than 50 children online, the station's report states.

Douglas County Sheriff Aaron Hanson said two Douglas County victims, another in Sarpy County, and at least 50 children across the country are now safe and will see justice served. Blake has been detained in a Texas correctional facility since the day of the search and is pending federal charges related to sexual exploitation throughout the country, per the same account.

According to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, Blake was previously convicted of injury to a child stemming from a second-degree sexual assault charge in 2019. The sheriff's office also said Blake was convicted that same year of cruelty to livestock after dousing a chicken in accelerant and setting it on fire.

A separate report from Abilene television station KTXS, which identifies the suspect as Jayden Blake, says he was arrested following an investigation into online child sex crimes and that investigators accused him of communicating with female minors across the United States in a manner that was sexual in nature. The spelling discrepancy between the two outlets' reporting has not been independently resolved.

A Surge in Online Exploitation Reports Nationwide

The case lands amid a documented spike in online child exploitation reports tracked by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The organization's CyberTipline data shows it received 1.4 million reports concerning online enticement in 2025, a 158% increase over 2024. Reports of child sex trafficking rose even more sharply, climbing 323% during the same period.

Financially motivated sextortion cases have also exploded. NCMEC reported more than 50,000 reports of sextortion in 2025, averaging 137 reports per day, up from more than 36,000 reports in 2024. The organization has noted that many offenders are moving conversations more quickly to private messaging and encrypted apps, making related cases harder for investigators to detect and connect.

The Blake case follows other recent FBI Omaha efforts targeting online predators. In a nationwide five-day sweep called Operation Restore Justice, the Omaha field office joined 54 other FBI offices across the country and assisted in three arrests, according to a prior WOWT report. That operation, per the Department of Justice, led to the rescue of 115 children and the arrests of 205 child sexual abuse offenders nationwide.

During that same sweep, the Omaha FBI served four search warrants and identified 15 victims, according to KETV. One of those arrested, 34-year-old Kody Dickes of Ashland, was taken into custody on April 29 on charges of distributing and possessing child pornography, the station reported.
