The U.S. Air Force’s Airmen of Note will conclude a Midwest tour with a free concert at Akron Civic Theatre on Nov. 17, 2026, at 7 p.m. Admission is free with registration, Cleveland.com reports. The theatre’s show listing includes the performance, and the Air Force’s tour page provides band and tour information.
Akron is the tour’s final stop, following a Midwest swing that begins in the Columbus area on Nov. 9 and includes performances in Lima, Fort Wayne, Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo, according to Cleveland.com. The report says the Akron program is expected to include patriotic music; it does not provide a complete set list.
A concert amid other regional jazz programs
The Airmen of Note appearance is one example of jazz programming in the region, but it is separate from area festivals and university events. The University of Akron says its Jazz Studies Department scheduled JazzWeek 26: Overjoyed, a four-day celebration, for April 13–16, 2026, on and around campus. In Cleveland, Tri-C JazzFest describes its programming as year-round, culminating in a three-day summer festival at Playhouse Square. These events differ in organizer, setting and format; they provide local context, not evidence of a connection to the Air Force tour.
The Akron concert will take place at a venue with a long history: the Akron Civic Theatre says it was built in 1929 by Marcus Loew and designed by theater architect John Eberson. The Civic listing confirms the concert’s place on its calendar, while registration details are reported by Cleveland.com.
