San Antonio is shaking off the cool morning air for a sunny Wednesday, with temperatures expected to climb to 88 degrees. The National Weather Service forecast calls for northeast winds up to 10 knots Wednesday, and rain is not in the forecast.
Clear skies will continue Wednesday night as temperatures fall to 69 degrees at San Antonio International Airport and 70 degrees at Stinson Municipal Airport. The National Weather Service says the developing tropical depression in the southwest Gulf is not expected to bring meaningful weather hazards to South Central Texas.
Sunny Stretch Holds Through The Weekend
Thursday will be even warmer, with a sunny high near 89 and overnight lows of 70 degrees at both San Antonio International Airport and Stinson Municipal Airport. Friday and Saturday should stay sunny, with highs near 88 and overnight lows dipping into the upper 60s or around 70.
Sunday looks like the warmest day of the stretch, reaching about 90 degrees under mostly sunny skies. Onshore winds could strengthen Sunday, though the sunshine still makes it a favorable day for outdoor plans as long as it does not turn into an excuse to skip the sunscreen.
Low-End Rain Chances Return Monday
The dry pattern may loosen early next week. Monday, October 12, will be partly cloudy with a slight chance of showers and highs in the upper 80s, while Tuesday will bring another slight chance of showers with temperatures again near 90.
No watches, warnings or advisories are in effect for San Antonio. For now, the forecast favors warm afternoons, clear nights and light winds, with the next meaningful change being the small shower chance arriving after the weekend.
