A toy store known for its wall-to-wall Pokémon figurines and anime collectibles is setting up shop in Loudoun County. Egg-Cellent, which already operates a location at Tysons Corner Center, is opening a Japanese toy store at Dulles Town Center, bringing its mix of Squishmallows, anime keepsakes, and Pokémon merchandise to a new corner of Northern Virginia.
The news comes from The Burn, which reports that the new Dulles Town Center outpost will sit between Perfume City and Baran Clothing Shop inside the mall. According to the outlet, Egg-Cellent specializes in Pokémon merchandise, Japanese anime toys, and similar products, and the Dulles store is expected to offer Pokémon figurines and stuffed animals alongside keepsake figures of anime characters from Naruto and Dragon Ball.
What's Already on Shelves at the Tysons Store
Egg-Cellent's existing presence gives a good sense of what shoppers might find once the Dulles doors open. The shop's own website lists an existing location at Tysons Corner Center in Tysons, and a 2023 neighborhood guide from Washingtonian described Egg-Cellent as the new toy spot there, stocked with Squishmallow stuffed animals, Japanese anime figurines, and Pokémon memorabilia. That Tysons location sits at 1961 Chain Bridge Road, per the same Washingtonian piece, inside one of the region's busiest shopping centers.
Per The Burn's report, the Dulles Town Center location is also expected to have Japanese toy vending machines, a feature that has become a draw for anime and collectible fans at similar specialty shops. The planned addition of Naruto and Dragon Ball keepsake figures suggests the new store could lean further into anime merchandise than a typical mall toy stand.
Filling Out the Dulles Town Center Lineup
Dulles Town Center has seen its retail mix shift in recent years, and a specialty toy shop focused on Japanese pop culture marks a notable addition for Loudoun County shoppers who previously had to head toward Tysons for the same Pokémon and anime selection. The Burn's report did not include an opening date or confirmation that the store has already opened, and those details remain unconfirmed.
For now, fans of Squishmallows, Pokémon figures, and anime keepsakes have the Tysons location to visit while the Dulles Town Center store takes shape nearby in Loudoun.
