A new Another Broken Egg Cafe has opened at 6917 Collier Blvd., Suite 701, inside the Triangle Shoppes in Naples, bringing a Southern-inspired breakfast, brunch and lunch menu to Collier County seven days a week. The 165-seat restaurant comes with an outdoor patio, a full bar and signature dishes like the Champagne Lobster Omelette, and it marks the first of four planned locations the chain has slated for Collier and Lee counties.
The Naples cafe is owned and operated by Dillon Gruener of FS Hospitality Group, LLC, according to the Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce. The chamber describes the space as featuring an inviting outdoor patio alongside a full bar serving handcrafted cocktails, mocktails, mimosas and Bloody Marys. Signature dishes on the menu include Lemon Blueberry Goat Cheese Pancakes, Chicken & Waffles and the Champagne Lobster Omelette, per the same source.
The restaurant's hours run from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekends, according to anotherbrokenegg.com. The cafe also offers dine-in service along with online ordering for pickup, delivery and a full catering menu. There's no late-night or dinner shift here — Another Broken Egg runs on a daytime-only model systemwide, a structure the company says eliminates dinner and late-night staffing, according to franchising.com.
A Return to Collier County After a Pandemic Closure
This isn't the brand's first swing at the Naples market. Another Broken Egg previously operated a different restaurant in the area for about five years under another franchisee before it closed during the pandemic in 2020, according to naplespress.com. That outlet also reported the new 165-seat location would include a patio for outdoor dining.
There's some disagreement among outlets about exactly when the doors opened. Franchising.com reported the Naples cafe was slated to open August 31, while Gulfshore Business reported it opened Sept. 19 in the Triangle Shoppes, according to Gulfshore Business. Florida Weekly's Florida Weekly correspondent Cecilia Krause attended the cafe's grand opening on Collier Boulevard with Bri Opteyndt, sampling dishes including the Steak & Eggs Benedict, Crab Cake Benedict, Lemon Blueberry Goat Cheese Pancakes and Cinnamon Roll French Toast.
Part of a Bigger National Push
The Naples opening fits into a much larger expansion story for Another Broken Egg. The brand now operates more than 100 cafes across 17 states, with nearly 100 more in development nationwide, per franchising.com's August report. The company has delivered 10 to 12 new cafe openings annually for several years running, the same report states.
Since late May, the chain has announced six new cafe openings in six cities spanning Virginia, Florida, Texas, North Carolina and Tennessee, including Fairfax and Ashburn, Virginia; Port St. Lucie, Florida; El Paso, Texas; Concord, North Carolina; and Murfreesboro, Tennessee, according to FSR Magazine. That outlet also reports additional cafes are expected later this year in California, Georgia, Texas, Ohio and Florida. Average systemwide unit volumes sit at $1.75 million, with top-quartile operators reaching $2.4 million, the franchising.com report notes, and the brand's bar program — offered in every cafe — generates roughly 10% of sales.
What's Next for Collier and Lee Counties
For now, Naples diners have a seasonal menu to explore alongside the signature dishes, with new seasonal selections rotating in according to anotherbrokenegg.com. With three more Another Broken Egg locations still planned across Collier and Lee counties, the Triangle Shoppes spot looks like just the opening course for the brand's local footprint.
