The Summit County Sheriff's Office is asking for help identifying a man seen taking a backpack at Akron-Canton Airport shortly after midnight on October 17. The bald man, wearing blue jeans and a gray shirt, arrived in a black Cadillac Escalade outside the arrivals area, picked up a passenger's dropped bag and drove away.
The exchange was captured on video around 12:37 a.m., according to Cleveland 19 News. Investigators say the man put the backpack inside the SUV.
A Quick Stop, Then Gone
The sheriff’s office says the man then pulled up to the next set of doors and picked up two additional people before leaving the airport with the backpack.
Deputies have not said what was inside the bag or who the two additional passengers were. The sheriff’s office is asking the public to help identify the man.
