Banner Health plans an 80,000-square-foot cancer center on 15 acres near Interstate 25 in Windsor. The $59 million facility, to be called Banner MD Anderson, is planned northeast of the I-25 and Colorado Highway 392 interchange. BizWest reported that construction is expected to begin in late 2026, with the center scheduled to open in late 2028. The reported timeline does not establish that construction has begun.
The planned center is to include diagnostic imaging, a specialized pharmacy, a laboratory, infusion services and radiation oncology, according to BizWest. The site at 1733 Westgate Drive has already changed ownership: Banner paid $5 million for the 15-acre parcel, and the sale was recorded July 21, 2026, 1310 KFKA reported.
How the planned center fits local care options
Banner MD Anderson has operated in northern Colorado since 2018, with existing locations in Greeley and Loveland, BizWest reported. Banner’s Greeley location listing includes medical and radiation oncology, cancer surgery, clinical trials and research, and chemotherapy, immunotherapy and targeted therapies. Its Loveland listing names radiation oncology, high-dose-rate brachytherapy and image-guided radiation therapy. These directories describe existing locations; they do not establish which services will be available at the planned Windsor site beyond those identified in the project announcement.
Other documented services in the area include UCHealth’s Cancer Care and Hematology Clinic in Greeley, where its clinic listing identifies medical oncology among providers’ specialties. UCHealth’s Windsor radiology listing names general X-ray and lab services. That listing describes a separate offering, not cancer-center services planned for Banner’s site.
A separate Banner plan in Loveland
The Windsor proposal follows an earlier, distinct Banner plan for northern Colorado. In September 2025, Banner announced that it planned to transition McKee Medical Center in Loveland into a specialty hospital anchored by Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center, the health system said. That announcement concerned an existing campus; it does not establish the status or outcome of the Windsor project.
