The Beverly Hills compound where Taylor Swift once wrote her 2014 album “1989” is back on the market, listed for $7,995,000. Known as the Pillsbury Estate, the roughly 1.5-acre property at 1827 North Beverly Drive is now owned by fashion designer Nicolas Bijan and interior designer Roxy Bijan, who bought it from Swift years ago and have spent time since remodeling nearly every room.
According to The Real Deal, Swift purchased the property in 2011 and sold it to the Bijans in an off-market deal in 2018, a timeline that a report from Yahoo Entertainment also confirms. The listing itself, per the Compass MLS entry for the property, shows an asking price of $7,995,000 and was last updated September 28, with Sotheby's International Realty handling the sale.
The estate spans two parcels and includes a three-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bathroom main residence plus a separate one-bedroom, one-bathroom guesthouse, according to the same Compass listing. Overall the property totals 4,360 square feet across four bedrooms and five bathrooms, per details published by the Los Angeles Times. Outdoor amenities include gardens, mature oak trees, a pickleball court, a fire pit, fountains and parking for about eight cars, and the compound sits just minutes from the Beverly Hills Hotel, the Los Angeles Times reports.
A Songwriting Room Turned Fashion Studio
The Real Deal's reporting notes the estate was featured in Swift's “73 Questions” video for Vogue and was showcased in Architectural Digest in 2021. Per the same outlet, Calvin Harris planted an olive tree on the grounds during Swift's ownership. Nicolas Bijan has said the house's appeal comes down to privacy, telling Page Six Hollywood the property is special because of its privacy and seclusion, and he has credited Swift's creativity in the space as an inspiration — he reportedly launched his NB44 fashion brand in the very room where “1989” was written.
Since taking ownership, the Bijans have made extensive changes. Architectural Digest reports the couple undertook cosmetic renovations, repainting, wallpaper removal and some structural work, and also built a breakfast sunroom off the kitchen. The Real Deal adds that the pair completed wide-scale renovations throughout the house, married on the property in 2020, and now have two children.

The Pillsbury Estate is one of the properties Taylor Swift once owned.
Yahoo Entertainment reports that the Pillsbury Estate was built in 1927. The compound has since passed through a Grammy winner's hands and into a fashion family's — and is now up for grabs again for just under $8 million.
