Wednesday is expected to be partly sunny, with mostly cloudy skies giving way to sunshine and an overnight low near 50. The afternoon will warm quickly under partly sunny skies. The high should reach 76 degrees, setting up another comfortable fall day before a wetter Halloween weekend moves into view.
Sunny Stretch Holds Through Friday
Mostly sunny weather is expected to continue Thursday and Friday, with highs near 79 degrees Thursday and 79 degrees Friday. East winds should stay light at around 5 mph, while overnight lows dip to about 52 degrees Thursday night and 60 degrees Friday night, according to the National Weather Service.
Halloween Weekend Gets Messier
Saturday starts the shift, with a high near 76 and a chance of showers. The bigger concern arrives Saturday night, when showers and thunderstorms become likely with a 60% chance of rain and a low around 59 degrees.
Sunday could see lingering rain, but precipitation chances are low. That is consistent with Hoodline’s earlier forecast, which also described Saturday night as wetter, with a 60% chance of rain Saturday night and 50% Sunday. Halloween plans on Saturday, October 31, may still find some workable daytime weather, but evening events should have a backup plan.
Dry Fuels Keep Fire Risk In View
Despite the rain arriving this weekend, dry fuels and limited moisture are keeping a medium fire-weather risk in place through Friday. Afternoon humidity could fall into the upper 20s to low 30s Wednesday, so residents should use extra care with grills, outdoor burning and discarded cigarettes, according to the National Weather Service.
The new workweek should start dry, with no additional rainfall expected through Tuesday, and no watches, warnings or advisories are currently posted.
