The collaboration between Meow Wolf Houston and Bun B’s Trill Burgers unfolds across two venues and several dates: a limited-run burger arrives at all four Trill Burgers locations on October 31, followed by a hot dog served inside Meow Wolf’s dive-bar exhibit beginning November 9.
The rollout, reported by CultureMap Houston, starts with the Trill Wolf Burger, available October 31 through November 14 at Trill Burgers’ Montrose, Spring, Missouri City and Westheimer locations. The Trill Billy hot dog follows at Meow Wolf Houston.
What's Actually in the Trill Wolf Burger
The Trill Wolf Burger combines two all-beef smashed patties with house-made jalapeno ranch, fried onion strings, American cheese and Cowboix Hevvven Dijon slaw on a pretzel bun. Bun B told CultureMap that it may be Trill Burgers’ most ambitious creation yet and said the partnership reflects Houston culture and community.
The collaboration’s packaging features artwork by Nicole Guerra, depicting a character whose name is spelled Burger Vandel in CultureMap’s account and Burger Vandal in DiningOut’s.
There's also a built-in discount for Meow Wolf's exhibit next door. Per CultureMap, buying a Trill Wolf Burger can get customers $10 off up to six Meow Wolf tickets via a QR code included with the purchase. DiningOut's account of the same perk describes it slightly differently, saying purchasers can get $10 off each Meow Wolf admission ticket for up to six tickets using a code called TRILLRIDE. The exact redemption mechanics weren't independently confirmed beyond those two reports.
A Hot Dog Debuts Inside the Dive Bar Exhibit
The Trill Billy hot dog will be served November 9 through November 25, or while supplies last, at Cowboix Hevven inside Meow Wolf Houston’s Radio Tave exhibit. A separate CultureMap report on the bar’s design describes it as a tribute to Texas dive bars, with interactive elements and characters.
Radio Tave is Meow Wolf’s permanent immersive exhibition in Houston’s Fifth Ward, designed around the idea of a radio station, as Glasstire reported when the venue’s name and opening date were announced. The exhibition includes dozens of rooms created by more than 100 artists, over 50 of them based in Texas. Bun B references will also be hidden around the space.
Local roots behind the collaboration
Meow Wolf’s official credits describe Radio Tave as “a multidimensional radio station made by Meow Wolf and Texan artists.” The 5th Ward Cultural Arts District describes the historic neighborhood as a place where art is part of everyday life, offering local context for the exhibition. Trill Burgers’ official website says the Houston business was established in the summer of 2021, during the COVID-19 pandemic, and opened its first brick-and-mortar location in 2023. The four locations included in this burger launch mark a later stage in the company’s growth.
Artist Activations Planned at Two Locations
The partnership also brings two Meow Wolf contributing artists to Trill Burgers locations. SHOKKA’s live activation is set for noon November 6 in Missouri City, followed by Neon Thrash at noon November 8 in Spring. Each artist will make a collaboration-inspired 3-by-4-foot canvas, with community members invited to create their own pieces to take home.
Meow Wolf marketing and sales director Garret Heinrich said the company wanted to celebrate Houston’s creative community and enjoyed working with Bun B and Trill Burgers. The collaboration follows Trill Burgers’ expansion to a fourth Houston-area location on Westheimer Road, which opened in late September with the chain’s first late-night drive-thru hours, according to Click2Houston. The 3,100-square-foot restaurant seats 70 and has a wraparound drive-thru open until 3 a.m. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
