Burlington’s Plan Commission is scheduled to consider a proposed Dunkin’ drive-thru at 950 Milwaukee Avenue on Tuesday, October 13, according to a city notice. The notice describes a proposed Conditional Use Permit to allow a drive-thru; it does not establish whether the request will be approved.
The proposal’s business identities are not fully reconciled in the available reporting. BizTimes attributes the proposal to RBO LLC, while the city notice lists Lynch Ventures, LLC as the property owner and Dino Kellikidis as the applicant. The records provided do not explain the relationship, if any, between RBO LLC and the listed owner or applicant.
A small, no-dining-room format
BizTimes reports that plans describe a 1,033-square-foot building without indoor dining, with service through a drive-thru, mobile orders and carry-out; two pickup windows are planned on the building’s north side. The proposed menu includes donuts, coffee, espresso and breakfast sandwiches, with daily hours listed as 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. The site is next to Pizza Ranch on Milwaukee Avenue.
The reported plan also allocates 15 parking spaces—10 for visitors and five for staff—and lists five employees on shift during peak periods, according to BizTimes. These are proposal details, not confirmation of how a completed restaurant would operate.
A comparison, not a forecast
A Dunkin’ in Boston offers a limited point of comparison: Restaurant Dive reported that it opened to the public on Aug. 18 without a dining room, taking advance orders through the app or orders at digital kiosks. Burlington’s proposal also lacks indoor dining, but includes a drive-thru. The Boston example describes a different service setup and does not establish how the Burlington location would operate or perform.
The commission’s review is the next stated step. The available materials do not disclose a decision, construction schedule or projected opening date.
