A pizza pop-up known for topping hand-crafted dough with aromatic curries and marinades has found a permanent home on Capitol Hill. Pizza Rasoi is now serving inside Outer Planet Brewing at 1812 12th Ave, bringing $20 medium pies anchored by chicken and housemade paneer to a stretch of the neighborhood already crowded with pizza options.

Founded by Maahir Kasliwal, Pizza Rasoi grew as a pop-up before landing its first brick-and-mortar presence inside Tapster, a self-serve bar in South Lake Union, according to CHS Capitol Hill Seattle News. The Capitol Hill location marks its next step, now dishing out pies built on what the outlet describes as hand-crafted dough topped with aromatic curries and marinades.

What's On the Menu

The Capitol Hill menu leans into bold combinations rather than a basic cheese-and-pepperoni approach. Options include a classic Tikka pizza served atop a rich and creamy tomato tikka sauce, an Achari pie dusted in a mustard-and-fennel-forward pickling spice blend, and a Hariyali pizza finished with sliced jalapeños and julienne ginger over a herby spinach and cilantro puree, per the same report. There's also a Lasooni chicken tikka pie featuring a bright yogurt herb base topped with confit garlic and garlic oil.

On its own site, Pizza Rasoi describes the approach as blending the vibrant spices and rich flavors of India with the classic charm of pizza, according to Pizza Rasoi. The business lists its Capitol Hill pickup address as 1812 12th Avenue, with online ordering available through Pizza Rasoi's Capitol Hill ordering page.

A Brewery Under New Ownership

Outer Planet Brewing, the nano-brewery that now houses Pizza Rasoi, was born in 2015 and sits wedged beneath microhousing on 12th Avenue. The brewery changed hands last year: on September 24, 2025, its ownership entered into an agreement to sell the business, with Amory Carhart taking over, according to the Washington Beer Blog.

Pizza Rasoi's arrival adds to the slice selection already taking shape along 12th Avenue. Just down the street at 1610 12th Ave, the Brunton brothers opened Roma Roma in February, serving Roman-style pizza sold by the pound in the former Capitol Hill Rachel's Ginger Beer space, according to CHS Capitol Hill Seattle News. Roma Roma prices its pizzas at roughly $15 per pound, with typical cuts weighing about a quarter to a third of a pound.

A Growing Regional Taste for Indian Pizza

A 2021 Seattle Times food story about Indian pizza around the greater Seattle area described the fusion style as combining curry, paneer cheese and tandoori chicken, according to the Seattle Times.

Tasty Curry Restaurant & Pizza offers a lamb tikka masala pizza, priced from $12 for a 14-inch medium to $19 for an 18-inch extra-large. Can Am Pizza also offers a butter chicken pizza.

Back on Capitol Hill, the broader pizza landscape has been shifting too. Eater Seattle reported in November 2025 that Pizza by Ruffin and Sacro Bosco had, in recent months, popularized rectangular, Roman-style pizza in the neighborhood. With Pizza Rasoi now settled inside Outer Planet Brewing, 12th Avenue's slice selection keeps expanding in flavor and format alike.
