Cleveland is waking up to mostly cloudy skies and temperatures around 57 degrees Saturday morning, but the clouds will quickly give way to a sunny, comfortable afternoon. The high is expected to reach 66 degrees, making this a strong candidate for outdoor plans before the region takes a cooler turn early next week.
Sunny Saturday Brings Mild Afternoon Weather
The National Weather Service's Cleveland office expects sunshine to dominate Saturday, with northeast winds easing to roughly 7 to 10 mph, according to the National Weather Service. Rain is unlikely, with the forecast putting the chance of precipitation near zero through the day.
Saturday night will be mostly clear, but temperatures will fall to about 48 degrees. Sunday looks similarly pleasant, with sunny skies, light southwest winds and a high near 69 degrees.
Cooler Weather Arrives Monday
The forecast turns noticeably cooler Monday and Tuesday, when highs should stay near 63 degrees under mostly sunny skies. Monday night could be the coldest stretch of the week, with temperatures dropping into the 40s and patchy frost possible in colder inland locations, especially across interior Northeast Ohio and nearby northwest Pennsylvania.
Downtown Cleveland may avoid the worst of the chill, but gardeners and residents in typical cold spots should keep an eye on sensitive plants. The NWS forecast shows dry weather continuing through much of next week, with temperatures rebounding to around 70 degrees Wednesday and Thursday.
