Cleveland police are seeking Darone Crawford, 50, who was last seen Oct. 6 near West 145th Street. A post about Crawford asks readers to share it.
Crawford was last seen wearing a red hoodie, blue jeans, brown shoes and a red-and-blue flannel jacket. His guardian believes he is traveling toward South Carolina.
Ohio’s law-enforcement protocol includes an adult whose disappearance circumstances indicate their safety may be in danger in its definition of a missing person, according to the Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission. That general definition provides context for missing-person cases involving adults, but the protocol does not establish the specific circumstances behind Crawford’s designation.
The FBI says records in its National Crime Information Center Missing Person File are kept until the person is located or the entering agency cancels the record. That general retention rule does not establish whether Crawford is currently listed or confirm his status. The police notice provides no later update on the search.
