Columbus is starting Saturday clear and chilly, with temperatures around 45 degrees before a sunny afternoon pushes the mercury close to 69. Winds will stay light, rain is not expected, and the weekend is shaping up to be unusually easy to plan around.
Fog Could Slow Early Drivers Outside Columbus
A dense fog advisory remains in effect until 10 a.m. Saturday for parts of west-central Ohio and areas north of Columbus. Downtown Columbus is currently clear, but drivers heading north or west should be ready for pockets of reduced visibility that may improve through the morning.
Saturday night will be mostly clear with a low near 44, followed by another sunny day Sunday and a high around 70. The latest National Weather Service forecast calls for light east and southeast winds and no meaningful rain through the weekend.
Warm-Up Peaks Thursday
The mild pattern continues Monday with a high near 73, followed by a mostly sunny Tuesday around 69 and a mostly cloudy Wednesday near 72. Thursday looks like the warmest day of the stretch, with sunshine and a high around 75, before Friday settles near 72.
That keeps the broader dry, above-normal-temperature pattern on track, with only minimal rain chances appearing late next week. It is a warmer sequel to the sunny stretch already covering Columbus, with a few more clouds arriving before the next weekend.
