Columbus wakes Thursday to clear skies and temperatures near 49 degrees, but the morning chill will not last long. Sunshine will push the city toward a warm 77-degree high, with southwest low-level flow and generally dry conditions.
The National Weather Service says a weak cold front will move through Thursday night, bringing slightly cooler air for the end of the workweek. Thursday night should remain mostly clear, with a low near 50 and only a small chance of a stray shower.
Friday Cools Off, Halloween Turns Cloudy
Friday will still be pleasant but less balmy, with sunny skies and a high near 70 before temperatures fall to about 47 overnight. Saturday's Halloween forecast looks mostly dry but noticeably cloudier, with a high near 66 and a nighttime low around 55.
Rain chances are minimal Saturday, so outdoor plans should avoid a washout, though the cloud cover may make the evening feel more like late October than an encore of Thursday's summer impression.
Rain Chances Return Sunday
Sunday brings mostly cloudy skies, a high near 69 and likely rain, with a 60% chance. The chance of rain increases Sunday night and continues intermittently through Wednesday, while daytime highs remain unusually mild in the upper 60s to low 70s.
Monday will be mostly sunny with a high near 73, followed by a mostly sunny Tuesday near 73. By Wednesday, skies should be partly sunny with a high near 73.
