Tamborazo Los Malos is seeking public help after its trailer, which held sound equipment, was stolen from an event venue parking lot. The band later canceled a Greeley performance.

Video Shows Trailer Hookup in Parking Lot

The theft happened in September at an event venue in Commerce City.

Telemundo Denver reported that the trailer was taken Sept. 19 from the Madrid event venue's parking lot in Commerce City. The outlet said security video showed a white pickup approach the trailer, a person attach it to the truck, and the vehicle drive away.

Band Discovered Trailer Missing After Another Gig

Sosa said members left for another event around 2:30 p.m. and discovered the trailer was missing after they returned, according to Telemundo Denver. The trailer held additional sound equipment, and Sosa estimated its value at approximately $5,000.

The missing trailer measures roughly 5 by 8 feet and has light-blue lines running along its sides, a rear license plate, and a round lock, per the same account. The theft left the band without a way to haul its equipment, and Tamborazo Los Malos had to cancel a scheduled performance in Greeley as a result.

Separately, Telemundo Denver reported that Commerce City police recorded 28 stolen vehicles in August and recovered 15. Those figures do not by themselves establish a trend in trailer theft or property crime in parking lots.

What vehicle-theft data shows

The Colorado State Patrol’s Auto Theft Intelligence Coordination Center reported a 34% decline in statewide motor vehicle theft in 2025 compared with 2024; its annual report also said vehicle thefts fell 23% nationally over that same year-over-year period. These figures do not measure this trailer theft or establish whether stolen trailers are included in the state measure or reported separately.

Tamborazo Los Malos has asked residents to share information that could help identify the person or vehicle involved.
