Anthony Haynes, 23, of Conway, was arrested Friday on a warrant accusing him of internet stalking of a child. The warrant alleges he sent repeated messages and images to a minor.
According to Arkansas Radio, the Conway Police Department took Haynes into custody and booked him into the Faulkner County Jail on Friday. The report identifies the warrant as filed Aug. 24 under case number 23cr-26-895.
What the Warrant Alleges
The report says the warrant alleges Haynes intended to monitor and harass the child. It describes the supporting affidavit as outlining a pattern of unwanted online contact.
The alleged conduct predates the warrant’s Aug. 24 filing, according to the report.
Online Child-Exploitation Reporting
The Arkansas State Police says its Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force works with local and federal law enforcement on technology-facilitated child sexual exploitation and internet crimes against children. The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children reported that its CyberTipline received 20.5 million reports of suspected child sexual exploitation in 2024. That figure counts reports, not confirmed crimes or unique victims.
Case Still in Early Stages
No additional details about the identity or age of the alleged victim, the specific contents of the messages and images in question, or whether any in-person meeting was discussed or arranged have been made public in the reporting so far. As with any criminal case, Haynes is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
