Akron woke Saturday, October 31, to mostly cloudy skies and temperatures near 41 degrees, but the chill will not last. The city is headed for a Halloween afternoon with a high near 62 and light east winds—a comfortable change for trick-or-treaters.
Halloween Starts Cool, Ends Comfortable
The latest National Weather Service forecast calls for daytime temperatures in the low to mid 60s. Saturday night will be mostly cloudy, with a low near 48.
Sunday Brings More Warmth, Not Much Rain
Sunday, November 1, should be mostly cloudy and unusually mild for early November, topping out near 69 degrees with a light south wind. Monday stays mild too, with highs near 67 in Cleveland and 69 in Akron-Canton. Tuesday could reach about 72, with winds turning southerly.
That is a drier Sunday setup than the earlier local outlook, which had put more emphasis on showers. The updated forecast pushes the more organized wet weather into midweek, a notable change from Hoodline's earlier Akron forecast.
Rain Arrives Midweek
Isolated, light showers are possible Monday and Tuesday. A system is expected to bring widespread precipitation Wednesday and Thursday.
No watches, warnings or advisories are posted for the Akron area. For Saturday evening, a light jacket should be useful; by Wednesday, anyone planning a commute or outdoor event will want a backup plan.
