A 40,000-square-foot Crunch Fitness gym is coming to Georgetown, landing at 205 Jesse Cocke Drive right next to Costco and Lowe's, with a spokesperson confirming the location will open this fall. The facility will be operated by The Undefeated Tribe, the Crunch Fitness franchisee behind a rapidly growing lineup of Austin-area clubs, and it's set to become the company's 10th location in the region.
A Supersized Gym With Recovery Perks
Per Community Impact Newspaper, a Crunch Fitness spokesperson confirmed the Georgetown gym will open this fall, though a company release issued in June told a different story, stating the facility would open its doors this winter, with presale memberships starting this fall, according to PR Newswire. That same release pegged the project at $11 million for the 40,000-square-foot building, while a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation project snippet for the Georgetown site listed an estimated cost of $5 million — a discrepancy the available records don't explain.
Whatever the final price tag, the gym is being built out with Crunch's newer Crunch 3.0 design, which the franchise describes as blending modern aesthetics with enhanced functionality. The Georgetown club's official location page, hosted at crunch.com, lists personal training along with instructor-led classes in strength, cardio, dance, interval, mobility and recovery. It also advertises a hot yoga studio, a sauna, tanning, and HydroMassage beds with red-light therapy for members on its premium Peak Results tier.
Open House Set for Oct. 17
Families with young kids won't be left out either — the club plans to offer Kid's Crunch babysitting for children ages 1 to 12. Crunch Fitness Georgetown is set to host a community event on Oct. 17 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., giving locals a chance to tour the gym, meet staff and pick up free swag before membership sales ramp up. The June release also detailed a founding-member deal: the first 500 people to sign up can join for just $1 and get their first month free, on top of other promotional perks. Standard membership pricing on the Crunch Fitness location page runs $15.99 a month, or $9.99 a month with an annual commitment.
Part of a Bigger Austin-Area Build-Out
Georgetown's new club fits into a much larger expansion effort. The Undefeated Tribe is aiming to open 100 gyms by 2028 and already operates across five states — Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Minnesota and Missouri — according to WhatNow. That same report projects Crunch will have 12 locations across the Austin area by the end of 2026. The franchise is backing that growth with an expanding East Austin headquarters and a push to use artificial intelligence to streamline business operations and the member experience, the Austin Business Journal reports.
The Undefeated Tribe's momentum was on full display earlier this year when it opened Crunch Austin W. Parmer Lane, its 50th location overall, following a preview event on July 21 and an official opening the next day. That club, like the one planned for Georgetown, features the Crunch 3.0 design alongside top-tier cardio and strength equipment, group fitness classes, personal training and recovery amenities, per KXAN. Georgetown's fitness scene is also drawing other national chains — EōS Fitness lists a location coming soon at 9951 Ranch Road 2338, according to the company's own site, though details on that project remain limited.
