Cyndi Lauper is heading back to the Las Vegas Strip. The 73-year-old pop star is booked to return to Caesars Palace for 10 shows in 2027, with performances set for Feb. 19, 20, 24, 26 and 27, and Sept. 3, 4, 8, 10 and 11, following her debut residency run at The Colosseum earlier this year.

The newly announced performances fall across two separate runs — February 19 to 27 and September 3 to 11, 2027 — according to a release from Caesars Entertainment. Ticket sales for the returning shows begin at 10 a.m. Pacific time Friday. Per the Caesars release, presales for the new dates began Tuesday for Citi cardmembers, with artist, Caesars Rewards, Live Nation and Ticketmaster presales to follow before general public sales open Friday.

A Spring Run Full of Stories — and a Little Fire

Lauper's first Colosseum stint, which played out earlier this year, leaned heavily on narrative. The Review-Journal reports that she spent much of the show telling stories about her life and career between hits like Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, Time After Time and She Bop, along with Money Changes Everything and Sally's Pigeons, a deeper cut off her 1993 album Hat Full of Stars.

Not every moment went smoothly. During the April run, Lauper dropped to the stage in exhaustion at one point, according to the Review-Journal, and she also responded sharply to a fan near the stage who interrupted her during the introduction to Sally's Pigeons. The Review-Journal described the exchange as a moment not exactly in line with her usual people skills.

Inside The Colosseum's Scale

The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, where Lauper performs, seats roughly 4,300 people and was originally built in 2003 for Celine Dion's residency, according to Hoodline's prior reporting on the venue. That intimate scale is a sharp contrast to the arenas and amphitheatres Lauper performed in during her farewell tour, and it has let her lean into the kind of storytelling-heavy set the spring shows featured.

From Farewell Tour to Hall of Fame Honors

The residency arrives after a run of major career milestones. Lauper wrapped her 68-show Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour on Aug. 30, 2025, closing with two nights at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, according to her official site, cyndilauper.com. In November 2025, she was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, marking the honor with an all-female performance featuring Raye, Avril Lavigne and Salt-N-Pepa, as reported by Ultimate Classic Rock.

Her career began with the 1983 debut album She's So Unusual, which made her the first female artist to land four top-five singles on the Billboard Hot 100 from a debut release, and earned her the Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 1985, per the Caesars release.

A Songwriting Legacy Beyond the Pop Charts

Lauper's résumé extends well past her recording catalog. In 2013, she became the first solo woman in history to win the Tony Award for Best Original Score, for composing the music and lyrics to the musical Kinky Boots, according to the Tony Awards' own historical account. She has also spent years on advocacy work, having co-founded True Colors United in 2008, a nonprofit focused on youth homelessness among LGBTQ+ young people.

The 2027 expansion keeps The Colosseum stacked with veteran headliners booking limited-date runs, joining recently announced residencies from Mötley Crüe and Sting at the same venue, as Hoodline has reported. For now, Lauper's return gives fans ten chances next year to catch the mix of hits, deep cuts and unscripted moments that defined her spring debut.
