Washington is waking to light rain and temperatures near 60 degrees Saturday, with a brisk north wind making the morning feel more raw than the calendar suggests. The District should stay mostly cloudy through the day, with occasional showers and a high near 68.
Sunday Looks Like The Weekend Washout
Saturday’s rain chances ease somewhat through the afternoon, but showers remain possible into Saturday night as temperatures settle near 60. The latest National Weather Service forecast describes possible heavier rain Sunday, when cloudy skies, showers and a high near 67 could disrupt outdoor plans.
Sunday could bring wet sidewalks, reduced visibility and a generally soggy day. There are no watches or warnings posted for Washington proper, but anyone heading out should plan for wet conditions.
Clearer, Cooler Weather Arrives Monday
The forecast takes a sharp turn Monday, with mostly sunny skies, lighter rain chances and a high near 71. Monday night drops to around 48 degrees, followed by sunny and noticeably cooler conditions Tuesday with a high near 64.
Wednesday should remain sunny near 67, while Thursday and Friday warm back into the low 70s under mostly clear skies. The shift is a substantive update from Hoodline’s earlier forecast, which had Friday’s heat as the main story; this time, the weekend rain and the cooler pattern behind it are taking over.
