Dak Good has opened a location at 6706 Stanford Ranch Road in Roseville.

The new restaurant occupies a 2,100-square-foot suite in the Stanford Ranch shopping plaza, according to leasing records from Kimco Realty, the property's manager. Dak Good also has a location in Grand Rapids.

Dak Good's menu stretches well beyond wings and drumsticks. Alongside crispy fried chicken strips, the restaurant lists thinly sliced bulgogi, bibimbap, bao buns, japchae with stir-fried vegetables, fried rice and tteokbokki. Delivery pricing on Uber Eats this month shows Bulgogi Fries at $16.84, Bao Buns at $16.19, Tteokbokki at $19.44, Potstickers at $13.59 and French fry-coated corn dogs at $11.64, giving a glimpse of how the chain prices its Korean street food lineup for local diners.

A Plaza Already in Flux

Dak Good's arrival puts it in a shopping center, just down the row from a storefront that recently went dark. Hoodline previously reported that Azayaka Japanese Fusion permanently closed its 6726 Stanford Ranch Road location on September 25 as its owners consolidated operations at their Sacramento flagship, leaving a 2,700-square-foot space in the same retail strip. That same reporting noted that the 2,700-square-foot Azayaka unit, in the corridor across from the Westfield Galleria at Roseville, generated roughly $1.2 million in annual revenue, underscoring why the plaza keeps attracting new tenants even as others depart.

Competition is heating up just down the road, too. The Sacramento Business Journal reported in April that hot chicken chain Angry Chickz plans to open a location at 6741 Stanford Ranch Road in neighboring Rocklin, directly across from Costco, putting another fried chicken concept within walking distance of Dak Good.

Roseville has already proven itself fertile ground for international fast-casual brands: Hoodline reported in August that the city became home to California's first franchise Jollibee, part of a planned 24-store expansion across multiple states.

Hours and What's Next

For now, Dak Good is settling into its daily rhythm. The restaurant's hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
