Tulsa is starting Friday near 65 degrees under partly cloudy skies, but the calm opening will give way to a cloudier and wetter stretch. Showers are possible this morning, another round may arrive Saturday, and a more unsettled storm system is expected to move in Monday.
Showers Arrive Friday Morning
Spotty rain showers could develop between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. Friday, with mostly cloudy skies and a high near 77 degrees. Winds should stay light. The chance of rain drops sharply during the afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.
Friday night will remain cloudy, with temperatures falling to around 60 degrees. Saturday brings another chance of showers, a high near 72 and a 40% chance of rain, followed by additional showers Saturday evening before skies turn mostly cloudy overnight.
Halloween Weekend Stays Cloudy And Damp
Saturday night temperatures should settle near 59 degrees, while Sunday offers a brief warmup with mostly cloudy skies and a high around 76. Rain chances remain low Sunday afternoon but may return after midnight as the next system approaches.
Rainfall from Friday through early Sunday is expected to remain below half an inch in most spots. That should keep the weekend from becoming a washout, but anyone with outdoor Halloween plans should keep a jacket and umbrella nearby.
Storm Chances Rise Monday
Monday marks the biggest weather shift in the forecast, with showers and thunderstorms likely and a high near 77 degrees. South winds will increase to 15 to 20 mph, with gusts reaching 35 mph.
Storms are also likely Monday night, when heavier rain is expected from Monday evening into Tuesday morning. Forecasters say isolated flash flooding and a limited risk of strong or severe thunderstorms are possible, though no watches or warnings are posted for Tulsa at this time.
Cooler Air Follows The Front
Tuesday brings a chance of lingering showers, partly sunny skies and a high near 70 degrees, with southwest winds becoming northwest and gusts up to 20 mph. Wednesday and Thursday bring a seasonable cooldown, with highs ranging from the mid-to-upper 60s into the lower 70s and overnight lows in the 40s.
