Police Say Updates Will Follow
The department's post says updates would be posted to the same social media thread when available.
A Different Shooting Nearby, Years Earlier
The address sits close to the site of a separate, unrelated shooting from years prior. Back in September 2020, police arrested a 23-year-old man in connection with a shooting in the 10100 block of East Harvard Avenue that left one man dead, according to the Denver Post. In that earlier case, the newspaper reported that D'Andre Horton was investigated on suspicion of first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder, and that the victim, who was transported to a hospital with serious injuries, was later declared dead. Police at the time said they believed the victim and suspect knew each other.
The two incidents occurred at different block numbers on the same street, years apart.
A later DPD update said an arrest had been made in the case.
