Dom Dolla, the Australian tech house DJ and producer born Dominic Louis Matheson, is set to headline a one-night-only show at the Cow Palace in Daly City this Friday, Oct. 16, with the show starting at 8 p.m. The 18-and-over event lands on the venue's Arena floor at 2600 Geneva Ave., with Floor, Bowl and VIP tickets all on offer.

The venue describes Dom Dolla as a Grammy-nominated act undergoing a meteoric rise, welcoming him to what it calls its coveted Arena floor, according to Cow Palace's event listing. SF Funcheap lists Floor, Bowl and VIP ticket tiers for the show. Separately, the San Francisco Chronicle's listing gives tickets starting at $99 and lists the Friday, Oct. 16 date and 8 p.m. start time.

Because the show is restricted to attendees 18 and older, Cow Palace's event page specifies that a valid physical government-issued photo ID is required for entry where applicable. Anyone planning a night out at the arena should expect that check at the door.

A Venue Reinventing Itself Around DJ Culture

Dom Dolla's booking continues a pattern that's reshaped the Cow Palace's calendar in recent years. The arena has increasingly turned to high-profile EDM acts, according to the San Francisco Chronicle, and the venue has hosted names including John Summit, Four Tet, Kaytranada and Fisher. The San Francisco Standard reported that the Cow Palace has been booking EDM acts with massive followings like Summit, Jamie xx, Lane 8, Charlotte de Witte and Rezz, and that guitars have largely given way to DJ decks at the hangar-like arena, even as it still occasionally books rock and punk shows.

That shift traces back to a deliberate strategy. Cow Palace Deputy Director Eric Blockie saw an opportunity to revitalize the venue by embracing electronic dance music after newer Bay Area venues pulled major acts away in the 2000s, according to CBS News. Blockie told the outlet, “We seem to have found a small little niche in this dance music phase,” pointing to past bookings that have ranged from Skrillex to Tiësto.

Big Crowds and a Growing Track Record

The payoff has shown up in attendance figures. When John Summit headlined a quadruple bill over back-to-back nights at the Cow Palace with AMPRS&ND, VNSSA and Walker & Royce, roughly 12,000 fans packed the venue, the San Francisco Standard reported. The Cow Palace has also booked Jamie xx, Lane 8 and Rezz, signaling the arena's EDM pipeline isn't slowing down.

Bay Area native Gryffin, born Daniel Griffith, performed a homecoming show at the Cow Palace on June 13, 2026, with Belgian DJ Lost Frequencies as special guest, according to KRON4. The venue also hosted a Super Bowl concert on Feb. 7 headlined by The Chainsmokers and Ludacris, KRON4 reported, and has also booked REZZ.

An Arena Built for Scale

The Cow Palace opened in 1941 as a hangar-like, concrete-floored arena. The venue includes an arena.

The venue's EDM calendar continues to grow.
