A driver was rushed to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Annie Oakley Lane and Russell Road in Las Vegas. Fire crews had to extricate the driver from the wreckage before transporting them for medical treatment, and lanes near the intersection were blocked off as emergency responders worked the scene.
According to FOX5 Vegas, the crash happened around 6:29 p.m. and involved two vehicles. The outlet reported that fire crews extricated the driver from the vehicle before taking them to the hospital, and that the lanes at the scene were still blocked as of publication.
Conflicting Details Surface in a Separate Report
A separate report from KTNV described a crash near the same intersection but offered differing details. That report cited Las Vegas police saying the crash happened at approximately 3:29 p.m. and involved a truck and a sedan, a time that does not match the roughly 6:29 p.m. timeframe given in the FOX5 Vegas account.
KTNV's report also said one person was badly injured in a crash on Thursday afternoon near Russell Road and Annie Oakley Drive and was transported to Sunrise Trauma. The station additionally reported that both northbound and southbound lanes of Annie Oakley were closed at the scene of the crash. It remains unclear whether the two reports describe the same incident or separate crashes in the area, and the available information does not resolve the discrepancy.
What Remains Unknown
Details beyond the driver's non-life-threatening injuries, including their identity, age, and the cause of the crash, have not been made public. It is also not confirmed whether the lanes near Annie Oakley Lane and Russell Road remained closed after the initial reports were published. No official statement from police or fire officials was included in either report.
