A 54-year-old Elizabeth City woman who goes by the name Sophia has been missing since Tuesday evening, and investigators say she left home without her identification, her wallet or her phone. Sonya Annette Berry was last seen around 5 p.m. on Winslow Street, and the Pasquotank County Sheriff's Office is now asking the public for help tracking her down.
According to wavy.com, Berry is described as a white female with brown hair, blue eyes, a fuller build and multiple tattoos. She was last seen wearing a skirt of unknown color, a multicolored top and flip-flops, the station reports.
No Phone, No Wallet, No ID
Officials say Berry left her residence without any identification, a wallet or a cellphone, leaving her with no easy way to contact anyone or be reached by loved ones. The same report notes that Berry suffers from a mental disorder, though she is believed to have her medication with her.
Berry reportedly drove away in her own vehicle, a gray 2000 Buick Regal with a black convertible top and Alabama license plates, per the station's account. As reported by 13News Now, Berry has been entered into the National Crime Information Center database as an endangered missing adult, according to the sheriff's office.
How To Help Investigators
The Pasquotank County Sheriff's Office is asking anyone with information about Berry's whereabouts to call 252-338-2191 or dial 911. Deputies have not released additional details beyond the description of Berry, her vehicle, and the circumstances surrounding her disappearance from Winslow Street on Tuesday.
