Ella Langley's team announced the cancellation of her scheduled Friday night concert at Tulsa's BOK Center shortly before showtime, following a security threat that sent police with K-9 units sweeping the arena. The cancellation scrapped a stop on her sold-out Dandelion Tour, with some fans already receiving refunds and others trying to understand the cancellation.
According to News 9, Tulsa police said the show was called off following a false bomb threat call. Officers conducted a preliminary sweep with K-9 units and found no indication of an actual threat, police told the station, and they noted they did not advise the BOK Center or Langley's team to cancel the concert. The decision to pull the show ultimately came from Langley's camp rather than from a law enforcement directive.
Langley addressed fans directly in a statement posted to her Facebook page, saying the show was canceled because of a serious security threat involving fans, venue staff and her own team. She said the call was made under the advisement of local authorities, the venue and her personal security team, adding that she refuses to put anyone in harm's way. As reported by Consequence, the statement was posted shortly before showtime.
A Sold-Out Tour Stop Thrown Into Chaos
Friday's canceled date was part of Langley's 2026 headlining Dandelion Tour, which featured opening sets from fellow country artists Kameron Marlowe and Laci Kaye Booth, per Holler Country. The tour has become one of the genre's hottest tickets this year — all 16 initial arena dates sold out.
The commercial stakes behind the tour are hard to overstate. Langley's sophomore album, Dandelion, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 after moving 169,000 equivalent album units in its first week, according to Whiskey Riff. Her rise traces back to the 2024 breakout duet “You Look Like You Love Me” with Riley Green.
Venue Says Ticket Refund Details Coming Soon
BOK Center officials said in a statement that the safety of fans, venue personnel and the artist comes first, and they said additional information about ticket refunds would be shared as soon as possible.
Not the First Threat to Rattle a Tour Stop This Month
Friday's cancellation echoes a similar episode just over a week earlier at Chicago's Aragon Ballroom, where a bomb threat briefly delayed a Steve Lacy concert before police cleared the venue and the show went on as planned. Tulsa's case played out differently: Langley's team canceled the show shortly before showtime, while police reported finding no indication of danger.
For now, some fans who bought tickets to Langley's Tulsa stop are waiting on the venue's promised refund details.
