A new drive-thru coffee kiosk is taking shape in Ocoee, as family-owned chain Ellianos Coffee builds out a location in Plantation Grove Plaza off Maguire and Moore roads. No opening date has been announced yet, but the construction marks the latest sign of Ellianos' push into West Orange County.
According to West Orange Times & Observer, the new shop is part of Ellianos Coffee's broader expansion into West Orange County, with the Ocoee site situated within the Plantation Grove Plaza development. City of Ocoee development records show the approved site plan for the project covers 0.46 acres and calls for an 864-square-foot drive-thru building, a compact footprint typical of kiosk-style coffee concepts built to maximize vehicle throughput.
The plaza sits along a commuter route linking Ocoee and Windermere, and it's no stranger to retail investment. The shopping center at 250 Moore Road, where the new Ellianos is rising, was purchased in June 2024 for $16.1 million by IVT Maguire Groves LLC, an entity affiliated with retail real estate investment trust InvenTrust Properties, as reported by WFTV. The same report notes the center, known as Plantation Grove Plaza at Maguire and Moore roads, is shadow-anchored by a Publix supermarket and already includes tenants like Hair Cuttery, Keke's Breakfast Cafe, and Lindora Health.
What's on the Menu at the New Drive-Thru
Ellianos Coffee is a family-owned drive-thru coffee chain known for specialty espresso drinks, smoothies, and energy refreshers, per the West Orange Times & Observer. The menu also includes shakes, hot and iced coffee, frozen beverages, bagels, pastries, and sweets. Customers can build their own energy refreshers, and the chain even offers an energy personality quiz on its website to help guide drink choices.
Those specialty drinks include items like the Caffe Dolce Latte and frozen “Freezers,” along with Southern-style breakfast grit bowls topped with eggs, cheese, and meats, according to Positively Osceola. The chain's drive-thru-first design traces back to its founding in 2002 in Lake City, Florida, by former pizza franchisees Scott and Pam Stewart, who modeled the concept after double-sided drive-thru coffee kiosks they observed during a trip to the Pacific Northwest, according to 1851 Franchise.
A Central Florida Expansion in Full Swing
The Ocoee build-out lands amid a broader surge for Ellianos across Central Florida this year. The chain broke ground on a new location in St. Cloud in March 2026 and recently debuted a shop in Winter Springs, according to WhatNow. As of March 2026, the company operated 75 locations, with more than 200 stores open or in development across eight Southeastern states, the outlet reports.
Franchise disclosure documents show average unit net sales of $1.02 million for fiscal year 2024, per 1851 Franchise. Hoodline previously covered Ocala's fifth Ellianos opening on Pine Avenue, part of the same statewide growth pattern now reaching Ocoee.
Ocoee's Commercial Pipeline
The Ellianos project is one of several developments in Ocoee's active commercial pipeline, joining a planned 118-room Cambria Suites hotel on Maguire Road and a 26-court indoor complex for Ocoee Pickleball, per City of Ocoee development records.
No timeline has been set for when the Ocoee Ellianos will open its doors, leaving West Orange County coffee drinkers to simply watch the kiosk take shape along Maguire and Moore roads for now.
