EquipmentShare’s Kings Park Core Solutions branch is intended to give Long Island contractors a nearby source for rental construction equipment. The eight-acre facility on Townline Road was the setting for a beam-signing ceremony on Thursday. The company estimates the project could bring 25 to 50 jobs and $35 million to $70 million in investment, including equipment, site improvements and salaries, according to Long Island Business News.
A local base for equipment and fleet technology
The Kings Park location is EquipmentShare’s first serving Long Island and the New York City metro area, and its third branch in New York State, RER reported. EquipmentShare says its T3 system lets customers check equipment location and fleet information, and that the technology can also be installed on machines contractors already own, according to RER’s account.
The branch is aimed at contractors working on infrastructure and building projects in the region, including road, shoreline, utility and renewable-energy work, as well as residential and commercial development, Patch reported.
Donation presented at the ceremony
EquipmentShare and the Long Island Contractors’ Association also presented a joint $5,000 donation to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation during the event, according to Patch. The foundation supports injured veterans, fallen first responders and their families.
