Pittsburgh is starting Monday with fog and mist, but the gray opening should quickly give way to sunshine and a high near 70 degrees. Light winds and dry conditions will set up a notably warm stretch across the city, with no rain expected today.
Foggy Start Gives Way To Sunny Skies
Temperatures are expected to climb from the low 40s early Monday into the upper 60s by afternoon, with southwest winds around 1 to 5 mph. The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh is calling for sunny skies and no meaningful chance of rain, so the morning fog should be the main weather nuisance for commuters and early risers.
Warm Weather Holds Through Halloween
Tuesday will be mostly sunny with a high near 69, followed by partly sunny conditions and a high near 71 on Wednesday. Thursday looks like the warmest day of the stretch, with sunshine and a high around 73, while Friday and Saturday should remain partly sunny with highs near 72 and 71, respectively.
The National Weather Service expects dry, above-average temperatures to dominate the region through the weekend. Overnight lows will generally stay in the mid-40s to low 50s, making for cool evenings but no meaningful frost threat.
Rain Chances Finally Creep In Sunday
Halloween night should be mostly cloudy, with a slight chance of rain showers after 1 a.m. Sunday brings the first more noticeable rain chance of the forecast period, at 35%, along with mostly cloudy skies and a high near 69.
No watches or warnings are posted for the Pittsburgh area, according to the National Weather Service. For now, the forecast is less trick-or-treat weather scare and more bonus patio season, at least through Saturday.
