More than 40 gourmet food trucks, along with craft and artisan vendors, are set to roll into the parking lot near Macy's and the Commons at Triangle Town Center for a three-day run starting Friday, October 30. FoodeesFest, the touring food truck and craft festival, is bringing its food and craft vendors to North Raleigh, and admission is free for the entire weekend.
The event runs Friday from 1 to 9 pm, Saturday from 11 am to 9 pm, and Sunday from 11 am to 7 pm, according to CBS17.com. Attendees can expect savory dishes, sweet treats, and beverages from local restaurants and artisans, with the festival billed as an outing for food lovers and families of all ages. Tricia Croft, owner of Foodees, LLC, said the event “celebrates Raleigh's culinary diversity and creative spirit” and welcomes everyone for food, crafts and fun, per the same report.
Festival organizers note that the seasonal Truck OR Treat programming is layered onto the usual food truck lineup, pairing Halloween-weekend activities with the craft and artisan vendor village, according to Eventeny. The Raleigh stop's specific footprint — the parking lot area near Macy's and the Commons — is laid out on the mall's own event page from Triangle Town Center. Attendees can register for free tickets online ahead of the weekend.
Free Registration Comes With a Raffle Perk
Anyone who signs up for free advance tickets is automatically entered into a raffle for a chance to win a free meal from participating vendors, according to a report from FFXnow on a sister stop of the tour. That advance registration also helps vendors plan their inventory for the weekend's expected crowds.
FoodeesFest isn't a one-off visit — it's part of a touring circuit with stops in North Carolina, Virginia, and Indiana, as the Indianapolis Recorder reported. Comparable three-day stops at malls like Springfield Town Center in Virginia have drawn estimated crowds ranging from 26,600 to 35,500 visitors, per FFXnow's earlier coverage of the circuit.
A Big Mall Looking to Draw Foot Traffic
Triangle Town Center is a shopping mall in North Raleigh, according to a LoopNet listing. The festival is set to use the parking lot near Macy's.
The property changed hands in December 2024, when U.K.-based Summit Properties USA acquired Triangle Town Center as part of a nationwide $700 million shopping center portfolio purchase, the Triangle Business Journal reported at the time. Hosting large touring events like FoodeesFest gives the mall a way to pull in weekend foot traffic as shopping habits continue to shift.
Rules Governing Food Trucks on Private Property
Any food truck setting up in Wake County must hold a mobile food permit from Wake County Environmental Health & Safety and is required by state and local regulations to operate from an approved commercial kitchen commissary, according to Wake County government. Vendors must log regular visits back to that commissary base for servicing throughout the event.
Raleigh guidance for food trucks on private property addresses permits, zoning compliance and owner consent.
FoodeesFest's Raleigh stop follows a similar three-day run the touring festival held at Opry Mills the prior weekend, according to Hoodline's earlier coverage of the tour's Nashville stop.
