Four men were charged with one count each of aggravated robbery and were scheduled to be arraigned Friday morning, WSYX reported. The outlet said the victim identified all four men to officers at the place where they were apprehended. WSYX’s report names them as Ayub Hoosh, 21; Moahmed Said, 19; Hamza Gele, 21; and Hamsa Omar, 20.
Ohio law classifies aggravated robbery as a first-degree felony, according to the Ohio Revised Code.
The reported arrest followed an 18-mile pursuit from Clintonville to Pataskala. WSYX said Columbus police tried to stop a gray Toyota Corolla belonging to Omar, but he continued driving; all four men were taken into custody after the car was stopped. The outlet’s account says the victim, bleeding from the head, went to a nearby witness, who called police.
WSYX, citing court documents, reported that the victim had arranged to meet Omar, described as an old friend, behind the address near 374 Parkview Drive. The documents reportedly allege that Hoosh demanded money while holding a firearm with a laser sight, then struck the victim in the face twice with it. Said allegedly displayed a rifle while Gele searched the victim’s pockets, according to WSYX’s report.
