Good Company opened Thursday at 343 West Broadway in SoHo as a two-level bar and restaurant. The team intends the space to work for different occasions, from an after-work drink to a full meal later in the evening.
Good Company is the latest project from Out of Office Hospitality, the team behind Yesterday's, which opened on Bleecker Street in April, according to WhatNow. Founders Jesse Rosen and Mike Kanevsky previously built East Village bar Waiting on a Friend before opening Yesterday's in a 6,500-square-foot, bi-level space, according to Apres Global.
Executive chef Robert Sieber brings experience from both fine dining and hospitality venues. His past roles include working at DB Bistro Moderne under Daniel Boulud and serving as executive sous chef at New York's two-Michelin-starred Korean restaurant Jungsik, after working at its Seoul precursor, per the same WhatNow report. Mr Porter also details his work as culinary director for The Surf Lodge and The Snow Lodge.
A Menu That Leans Into Comfort Food
The opening menu brings together bar snacks, sandwiches and larger plates. WhatNow's rundown includes spicy feta dip with toasted pita, grilled mortadella skewers with hot honey and jumbo shrimp cocktail with kimchi sauce. Among the mains are the Good Burger, chicken schnitty topped with Parmigiano Reggiano and green goddess dressing, and a crispy fish sandwich on a potato roll; sides include green beans and crispy fries.
For dessert, diners can assemble a banana split. Great Bites described the restaurant as an everyday neighborhood spot rather than a formal tasting-menu destination.
Cocktails From the Same Team Behind Yesterday's
Beverage veterans Jarrod Fox and Jon Greenfield, who developed the cocktail program for Yesterday's, curated the drinks at Good Company, the same WhatNow report notes. The list includes the Matchapeno, with jalapeño-infused tequila, lime juice and matcha; the Purple Negroni, made with gin, white vermouth, yuzu and grapefruit bitters; and Smoke & Petals, which combines hibiscus-infused mezcal, lemon juice and rosemary syrup.
Inside a Historic SoHo Townhouse
Yakka Studio, which also designed Yesterday's, created the two-level interior, according to Apres Global. The design uses natural materials, layered textures and greenery, alongside custom hand-painted work by artist Sadie Mae Stuart. BroBible has covered Stuart's portrait of Joe Burrow and other celebrity subjects.
The 343 West Broadway address has hosted other restaurant concepts. Little Ways, a 1970s-style bistro and cocktail bar from the team behind Lower East Side venue The Flower Shop, opened there in February 2020, according to Tribeca Citizen.
For a measure of storefront activity, the SoHo Broadway Initiative reported that retail occupancy in its district ranged from 82% to 85% during 2024. That figure describes overall retail occupancy, not restaurant openings specifically, according to the SoHo Broadway Initiative.
Good Company is the latest restaurant to occupy the address, following Little Ways, and brings the team behind Yesterday's to SoHo.
