A new live-jazz series kicks off Wednesday at Echo Taste & Sound in the Las Vegas Arts District, bringing rotating local and acclaimed musicians into the downtown listening lounge every week through the end of the year. PTA Sound Sessions runs from 6 to 10 p.m. each Wednesday from October 28 through December 30, 2026, pairing live performances with the venue's food and drink menu.
The series is curated by Keith Harris, a two-time Grammy Award winner, according to Las Vegas Weekly. Harris has built a reputation well beyond Las Vegas as a drummer, producer and musical director for acts including the Backstreet Boys, Fergie and the Black Eyed Peas, per Audient. PTA Sound Sessions is held at Echo's Arts District address, 1301 S. Main St., Suite 160, and features rotating performances by local emerging artists alongside acclaimed jazz musicians.
What to Expect at Echo's Listening Lounge
Echo bills itself as an immersive listening lounge and dining experience, built around a curated vinyl collection and a vintage McIntosh sound system, according to the venue's own description on its site. The food and drink program leans into that same curated sensibility, with cocktails, mocktails and small plates from Chef Natalie designed to pair with the music rather than compete with it, Echo notes on its website. For PTA Sound Sessions nights specifically, the format weaves live jazz into that existing dining experience rather than standing apart from it.
Guests attending PTA Sound Sessions should expect a two-item minimum per person, and the event is limited to those 21 and older. Reservations are available through Echo's website, though specific pricing was not detailed. Echo's reservation platform notes that all guests must be over 21 and present valid photo identification, according to ExploreTock's listing for Echo.
A Regular Fixture in Echo's Programming
Live jazz is not new to this stretch of downtown. Echo has hosted live jazz every other Wednesday as part of its regular programming, Las Vegas Weekly reported in an earlier dining feature on the venue, giving some sense of how PTA Sound Sessions slots into — and expands — the room's existing musical rhythm.
Harris's curatorial fingerprints extend beyond this single venue. He also hosts Pass The Aux Las Vegas, described as a monthly artist event in Nevada, per Audient's profile of the musician. That program has had its own home elsewhere in the city: StarBase Las Vegas hosted the launch of the 2026 Pass The Aux program year, and a Pass The Aux event billed as the Keith Harris Experience took place at StarBase on September 17, 2026, featuring emerging talent backed by his band, according to StarBase Las Vegas.
For jazz fans in the Arts District, PTA Sound Sessions offers a weekly option through the holiday season, running every Wednesday night at Echo until the series wraps on December 30.
