Greenville is waking to partly cloudy skies and temperatures in the upper 50s Thursday, with sunshine expected to take over and push the afternoon high to about 75 degrees. The dry stretch holds through Friday, when the city could reach 79, while the weekend forecast has quietly lost some of its rain drama.
The latest outlook from the National Weather Service Greenville-Spartanburg says forecast guidance has trended drier Sunday through Tuesday. That means rain is still possible, but confidence in a wet start to November is now considerably lower, and no watches, warnings or advisories are posted for the area.
Sunny Thursday Gives Way To A Warmer Friday
Thursday should stay sunny with northeast winds around 5 to 8 mph, making for comfortable conditions across the Upstate. Skies will be mostly clear Thursday night, with temperatures dipping to about 52 degrees before Friday brings another sunny day and a high near 79.
Clouds Build Saturday, But Rain Is No Lock
Saturday turns mostly cloudy with a high near 69, but the forecast remains dry through the day. Sunday looks cooler and mostly cloudy, with a high near 65 and a 60% chance of showers; the chance rises to 70% Sunday night.
That is a notable pullback from Wednesday's outlook, when Hoodline's earlier forecast put Sunday's rain chance at 60%. The latest forecast still supports keeping an umbrella nearby for Sunday night, but it no longer looks like a washout by default.
Early-Week Plans Stay Mostly Intact
Monday carries a 40% chance of showers and a high near 70, with mostly cloudy skies. Tuesday is expected to be partly sunny near 72, while Wednesday is expected to be partly sunny.
For outdoor plans, Thursday and Friday offer the safest bet for sunshine and warm temperatures. Saturday will be breezier and cloudier, while Sunday may require a little flexibility as the forecast continues to sort out whether those showers ever fully arrive.
