Greenville is starting Tuesday with fair skies and a crisp 45-degree chill, but the afternoon will feel far more comfortable. The thermometer is expected to reach about 75 degrees under full sun, with no rain in the forecast.
Clear Skies, Dry Air, And A Cool Night
A light northeast breeze around 6 mph will keep the day comfortable, while afternoon humidity is expected to range from 25% to 35%, possibly dipping slightly below 25%. The National Weather Service Greenville-Spartanburg office expects mostly clear skies Tuesday night, with temperatures falling into the 40s.
Rain Drops Out Of The Week Ahead
Wednesday stays sunny with a high near 73, followed by another sunny 75-degree day Thursday. The forecast turns cooler Friday and Saturday, with highs near 70 and 66, before Sunday and Monday rebound to about 69 and 74 degrees, respectively.
The current outlook is notably drier than an earlier Hoodline forecast that flagged uncertainty about weekend rain. Precipitation chances are now at zero through Monday, making this a long stretch of clear-weather planning.
Dry Weather Brings A Small Fire-Weather Concern
Greenville's forecast lists no watches, warnings or advisories for South Carolina, but the weather service says low-end fire danger conditions are possible Tuesday afternoon as warm temperatures and very dry air take hold. A Fire Danger Statement is in effect for northeast Georgia from noon through 7 p.m. Tuesday, so extra care around outdoor flames is warranted.
Saturday Will Feel Most Like Fall
The weekend's main change is temperature, not rain. Saturday's high reaches only 66 degrees, and the overnight low drops to about 43.
