Tampa is waking up to clear skies and temperatures in the low 60s Sunday, with a sunny afternoon ahead and a high near 79 degrees. Northeasterly winds will make the day feel noticeably breezier, with gusts reaching up to 28 mph.
Sunny Sunday Brings Strong Northeast Winds
Rain is not expected Sunday, and the dry pattern will continue through the workweek. Winds will run about 14 to 17 mph during the afternoon before easing somewhat Sunday night, when temperatures dip to around 66 degrees.
The National Weather Service expects another sunny day Monday, with a high near 80 and northeast winds around 14 mph. Monday night will be clearer and cooler, with a low around 60.
Cooler Mornings Continue Through Friday
Tuesday through Friday should stay sunny and dry, with afternoon highs near 79 to 81 degrees. Morning temperatures will generally settle around 59 to 61 degrees, giving Tampa a string of crisp starts before the afternoons warm back up.
Boaters should take extra care, especially on Tampa Bay and the Gulf waters. A Small Craft Advisory remains in effect through early Tuesday, with elevated northeast winds expected to create rougher conditions on the water.
