A Richmond-born luxury shoe brand that started in a home office now has a storefront of its own. Kelley Kouture, the high-heel footwear label founded by Kelley Williamson, has opened a showroom and headquarters in the Innsbrook area of Henrico, with office and warehouse operations in the new space.
Richmond.com covered the move. The showroom sits at 4323 Cox Road, a location that Richmond BizSense reported was leased at 2,361 square feet, a figure slightly smaller than the roughly 2,400-square-foot space described elsewhere. Inside, the buildout includes a private shoe-try-on area, a conference room, event space, offices and warehouse operations, with room to accommodate around a dozen people for meetings or social gatherings.
Williamson previously ran Kelley Kouture out of her home office in Richmond, handling the growing brand without a dedicated commercial space. Fulfillment, meanwhile, had been outsourced to a facility in Suffolk since the company's launch. According to the seed report from Richmond BizSense, Williamson has now moved that fulfillment work in-house, explaining her reasoning simply: “I realized an hour-and-a-half (drive) wasn't close enough.”
A Brand Born From Surgery
Kelley Kouture launched in April 2026 with the debut of its e-commerce shop, according to a release distributed via GlobeNewswire. Williamson founded the label after surgery affected her balance and her ability to wear the high heels she once loved, as she has written on the Kelley Kouture website. The seed reporting adds more specific context, tying her motivation to several cancer-related surgeries, including removal of the ball of her foot.
That medical history shaped the shoes themselves. Kelley Kouture's footbeds are designed to take pressure off the ball of the foot, and the shoes incorporate adjustable design elements alongside supportive footbeds, per the GlobeNewswire release. Fredericksburg.com, in coverage of the brand's design philosophy, notes that custom lasts were developed to move more naturally with the foot, and describes architectural heels, sculptural silhouettes, rich textures and expressive colorways as hallmarks of the collection, a detail reported by Fredericksburg.com.
The Signature K Heel
Central to the brand's pitch is its K Heel, a two-piece design intended to improve stability and balance. The K Heel is patent-pending. Williamson works with four factories in Italy to produce the shoes, which are designed and crafted there before reaching customers.
Pricing has also been reported with some variation. Richmond BizSense has put the suede and leather shoes at around $600 per pair, while Axios Richmond has cited a range of $585 to $625, according to Axios Richmond. The debut line spans around 12 different pairs, including pumps, heeled sandals, slingbacks and flats, per Richmond BizSense's original profile of the brand.
Small Team, Big Ambitions
Despite the Italian manufacturing network, Kelley Kouture remains a lean operation. Williamson has said the company is entirely self-funded and runs with a core team of around five people, not counting manufacturers, according to the earlier Richmond BizSense report on the brand's founding. The new Henrico showroom operates by appointment only.
Looking ahead, Williamson plans to launch sneakers and a new bootie option this fall, and expects to hire additional staff in the coming months, including college-aged interns, per the seed account. She has also said she wants to create more fashion-industry opportunities for students in Virginia, a goal that dovetails with the brand's expansion beyond its original footprint.
