The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office is asking for public help locating Joe P. Doctor Jr. The agency’s Facebook notice lists an active warrant with three items: felony driving while license suspended or revoked, violation of probation and absconding. It lists no bond.
It does not identify the issuing court or warrant numbers, explain the underlying allegations, or say whether he has since been located. The allegations in a warrant are not, by themselves, proof of guilt.
A separate case offers limited legal context
Probation-violation claims depend on the evidence in the individual case. In a separate Duval County matter, the Fifth District Court of Appeal reversed findings that Felix Jonathan Del Corral had violated probation by failing to report within 72 hours and pay fees, concluding the state had not proved those violations. The court noted evidence that his probation order gave an incorrect office address. Those circumstances concern Del Corral’s case and do not establish anything about the allegations against Doctor. The court’s opinion provides that distinct example of how proof and case-specific details can matter.
How to share information
The sheriff’s notice asks anyone with information about Doctor’s whereabouts to call 352-754-6830. It also lists Crime Stoppers at 1-866-990-TIPS (8477).
