A high-tech darts bar is about to take over the spot where Sherlock's Baker Street Pub once poured pints for more than two decades. Flight Club opens Friday, October 23, at 5100 Belt Line Road inside Village on the Parkway in Addison, bringing automatic-scoring dartboards, British pub fare, and a Pegasus-themed room to the space that closed in 2023.
The 8,000-square-foot venue will be the 13th Flight Club location in North America and the second in Texas, following a 2021 debut in Houston's Regent Square, according to CultureMap Dallas. State of Play Hospitality, the company behind the concept, first established Flight Club in the U.S. starting with Chicago before expanding to Boston, Houston, Atlanta, Las Vegas, Denver, Washington, D.C., St. Louis and Philadelphia, with Cincinnati, Seattle and New York also part of its rollout. Toby Harris, president and CEO of State of Play Hospitality, said in a press release that Addison is an excellent fit for the brand's first Dallas-Fort Worth metro location.
Wayne Emerson, Addison's director of economic development, said Flight Club will revitalize the site.
From Rowdy Pub to Corporate Game Night
Sherlock's Baker Street Pub operated for more than two decades before closing in 2023, and the bar's Texas locations underwent 33 Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission investigations between 2011 and 2018, according to Grossman Law Offices. Addison has shown interest in corporate events as part of its entertainment strategy, according to Bisnow.
That strategy lines up with Addison's demographics. Per the same account, the town's daytime corporate workforce swells to roughly 80,000 people compared with about 17,000 residents, with the biggest residential age bracket falling between 25 and 35 — prime territory for a venue built around group bookings and team outings.
Automatic Scoring Dates Back to a Garden Shed
Flight Club's signature feature is its proprietary social darts technology, which automatically scores games and supports groups of up to 375 people. The system traces back to co-founder Steve Moore's London garden shed, according to VICE Sports. Flight Club was founded in London in 2015, and the Addison venue includes 12 private and semi-private playing areas known as oches, with reservations encouraged for groups of six or more.
Access to the oches is limited to guests 21 and older daily after 6 pm and all day Saturday, though dining is available without joining the darts action. Games run $15 to $17 per person for 90-minute sessions depending on the day and time slot.
Pegasus Room Nods to a Dallas Icon
The Addison location draws its look from 19th-century London pubs and Victorian-era fairgrounds, but it also leans into local flavor. One standout space, the Pegasus Room, references the flying red horse that has long served as a Dallas symbol, and artwork throughout the venue depicts western landscapes, horses, cattle, and the State Fair of Texas.
The food menu features dips, tacos, sliders, wings, flatbreads, skewers, and a mezze platter loaded with grilled halloumi, falafel, carrots, cucumbers, red pepper hummus, tzatziki, and pita, priced at $49 for four servings. Dessert options include churros, s'mores, and cotton candy, while brunch brings bottomless flatbreads, avocado toast, and cocktails.
Flight Fridays and Happy Hour Deals
Cocktails run $15 to $18 and include the High Tea Sour, made with Empress gin, Earl Grey tea, elderflower, lemon, and egg white; the bar can also prepare its signature drinks without alcohol. Happy hour runs from 4 to 6 pm with $2 off draft beer, liquor, and wine by the glass, plus specialty cocktail pricing. Every Friday starting at 7 pm, Flight Fridays brings live DJ sets and challenge games with prizes and bar tabs on the line.
Part of a Bigger Entertainment Push
The opening also lands alongside Addison's $240 million, 14-acre Addison Junction transit-oriented development near Belt Line Road, a public-private project designed to connect the town center to the DART Silver Line, according to Town of Addison records. Flight Club joins Village on the Parkway, a North Dallas entertainment hub. Addison's entertainment options also include mini-golf venue Puttshack and baseball simulator Batbox, per Bisnow's reporting.
State of Play Hospitality, founded in London in 2012, originally launched the ping-pong concept Bounce and co-founded Puttshack before spinning that brand off in 2019 and introducing the immersive bingo venue Hijingo in 2021, according to Blooloop. The company secured $10 million in expansion funding, as reported by Nation's Restaurant News.
By 2026, Flight Club guests had thrown over one billion darts since the Shoreditch flagship opened in 2015. Addison's new outpost joins Hoodline's earlier coverage of the brand's NYC bank vault bar and its Seattle debut, continuing a North American expansion that shows little sign of slowing down.
