A 50-year-old man wanted on five felony charges stemming from a domestic violence investigation is still at large, and Hillsborough County sheriff’s detectives are asking the public to help track him down. Andre Wiggins faces counts that include strangulation, aggravated battery causing great bodily harm, and witness tampering, with several of those charges elevated because of prior domestic violence convictions.
Charges Include Strangulation and Tampering With Evidence
According to the Tampa Free Press, Wiggins is charged with domestic false imprisonment, domestic battery by strangulation, and aggravated domestic battery causing great bodily harm, each listed with a prior domestic violence conviction attached. He also faces charges of tampering with a witness and tampering with physical evidence, according to the same report.
Sheriff’s officials announced that detectives are asking for the public’s help locating Wiggins so he can be taken into custody, the outlet reports. Investigators have not released details about the specific incident that led to the warrants, nor have they said where Wiggins was last seen, leaving much of the underlying case still unclear to the public.
