Houston Police are asking for the public's help tracking down two persons of interest who investigators believe may know something about the shooting of a man on Glenmont Drive last October. The department says the shooting happened at 5915 Glenmont Drive on October 28, 2025, and that detectives still want to speak with the pair nearly a year later.
In a post from its official account, Houston Police
stated plainly that investigators want to speak to the two individuals because they may have information in the case. The department did not release names, descriptions, or photographs of the two persons of interest, and it has not said whether the shooting was fatal, what led up to it, or whether anyone has been arrested or charged.
The request came through the Houston Police Department's X account, which identifies itself as the official account for the department, based in Houston, Texas. The agency has noted that the account is not monitored around the clock, meaning anyone with information is urged to go through the designated tip lines rather than reply directly on social media.
How to Submit a Tip
Anyone with information on the Glenmont Drive shooting is asked to call HPD Homicide at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS, according to the department's post. Crime Stoppers tips can typically be submitted anonymously, giving residents who may be hesitant to come forward directly to police another avenue to share what they know.
A Similar Case, But Not the Same One
Houston has seen other recent appeals for persons of interest tied to shootings, though none of those cases should be confused with the Glenmont Drive incident. Last September, Click2Houston reported that police were seeking help solving a deadly shooting at the Idlewood Park Apartments off West Bellfort Avenue, where a 38-year-old man died at the scene after being shot multiple times. In that case, investigators released surveillance photos of two persons of interest — a man and a woman seen riding a motorcycle — along with a truck connected to the incident, though the outlet noted that no suspects had been officially named at the time.
That Southwest Houston case remains a separate investigation from the Glenmont Drive shooting, and nothing in the department's latest request ties the two together. For now, the Glenmont Drive case remains open, with investigators relying on the public to help identify the two people they believe can move the inquiry forward.
